Experiential Training in the Art of Psychotherapy
An Orientation, Not a Modality
At the heart of inner-directed therapy is a simple belief: each person carries an innate capacity to heal. The therapist's role is to support the conditions in which that capacity can emerge - and to trust the process.
This belief sits at the heart of many enduring therapeutic traditions, and in contemplative practices that long predate Western psychology. Our training programs draw from across these lineages to offer a clear, jargon-free framework for inner-directed psychotherapeutic work.
This framework forms a foundation for those new to psychotherapy, and integrates naturally with existing skills for those with prior training.
Our programs are designed to be experiential from the start. Each week, students move between theory and direct practice - working with real therapeutic material, developing embodied skill alongside conceptual understanding.
The skills and sensibilities developed through this training can be brought to talk therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and other expanded state contexts.
“It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried.”
Carl Rogers
